Key Role

The role will also oversee the progress of operations; liaise with clients and Scarsin Solution Architects/Business Analysts to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives to implement solutions on Scarsin’s enterprise platform, i2e -Integrated Insight Environment

 

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 For assigned projects

  • Plans and oversees the end-to-end delivery of assigned projects and ensures delivery within scope, budget and typically fixed timelines.
  • Works with clients and Scarsin Solution Architects/business analysts to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives
  • Develops and implements detailed project plans to identify and sequence the activities needed to successfully complete the project
  • Assists in determining resource and budget requirements to assess cost estimates, and timelines
  • Identifies project risks; to dynamically assess mitigation and contingency plans
  • Monitors project delivery against timelines and targeting timely completion of a quality solution
  • Applies rigorous change, risk and resource management
  • Communicates project status transparently to relevant stakeholders
  • Formulates, organizes and monitors client programs - inter-connected projects and coordinates cross-project activities
  • Works with Account Executives, Solution Architects and other Program Managers to determine suitable strategies and objectives
  • Works with Account Executives to ensure that program projects are within budget and help detail budgets for individual projects
  • Resolves projects’ higher scope issues, assessing program performance and continuously aims to maximize client ROIs
  • Measures, monitors and delivers program and project performance metrics (delivery and profit) to Scarsin Management and clients
  • Ensures clients’ continuing needs are met as the project evolves and business needs
  • Works with departmental managers to determine resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete multiple projects
  • Monitors and tracks project’s progress and handles issues that arise by liaising with impacted departments to coordinate program support
  • Reports and escalates to management as needed
  • Performs various other duties as delegated or deemed appropriate for the success of your projects

 Client Relationship Management

  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with clients
  • Responsible for resolving issues, managing client expectations, and ensuring client satisfaction
  • Maintaining a pulse on organizational, and competitive events that might affect customer engagements
  • Assisting in the preparation of quotes and seeking future opportunities with the customers you are working with
  • Other duties as assigned

 JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE: More than three years up to five years

 Knowledge & Skills

  • 3 to 5 years of project management work experience
  • Solid ability to deliver projects on-time, on-budget and, within specifications
  • Solid ability to develop and manage project budget
  • Solid ability to mitigate and manage project risks
  • Advanced ability to influence, persuade and negotiate to achieve desired outcomes
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced ability to develop and maintain relationships with project stakeholders
  • Advanced ability to manage client relationships and expectations
  • A high degree of client service orientation
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships and performance
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office applications in particular – MS Project, MS Excel, MS Outlook
  • Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methodologies with previous experience managing multiple high priority projects
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability and proven ability to shift focus quickly and frequently to meet the demands of the day, working exceedingly well under pressure
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to align tasks and milestones with deliverables and deadlines
  • Analytical approach demonstrating an ability to assess requirements and build realistic plans
  • Effective time management skills to facilitate the timely completion of projects
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team
  • Excellent client-facing and internal written and verbal communication skills

  • Familiarity with commercial biotechnology / pharmaceutical industry is preferred

 Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation

One or more of the following would be considered an asset:

  • Project Management Institute Accreditation or in progress
  • PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus
