Key Role

The Forecast Model Developer builds models in Microsoft Excel within Scarsin’s enterprise platform, i2e -Integrated Insight Environment

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Uses business logic, recognizes client needs and possesses very strong Excel skills to create forecast models based on best practice methodologies;
  • Works closely with team members, Project Managers, Forecast Development Manager, as well as acting as the client interface;
  • Performs quality assurance on the mathematics and queries to ensure correctness of reported values;
  • Works collaboratively, learns and shares knowledge, assisting other team members, with the ability to multi-task without compromising quality;
  • Pays keen attention to details and is meticulous in delivering client requirements to the highest standards of quality and accuracy;
  • Performs various other duties as delegated or assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

The successful incumbent will have:

  • A university degree or college diploma in computer science, math, or a related major;
  • At least 2-3 years working analytical experience within the pharmaceutical industry;
  • Expert Excel skills a must, which include expertise in lookup and reference formula types, logical, financial, statistical, and Data Connections analytics, etc.;
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge and experience using macros and VBA Proven strong working understanding of relational databases such as SQL;
  • Proven ability to easily learn new software applications, industries, and technologies;
  • Proven ability to easily absorb and demonstrate new concepts and technologies as well as industry-specific knowledge and expertise;
  • Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail and high quality workmanship towards the delivery of world class solutions that are both robust and flexible;
  • Proven, motivated self-starter;
  • Proven skills in time management, problem solving and decision making;
  • Proven effective presentation, analytical, communications and customer relationship skills;
  • Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize, multi-task and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment;
