Key Role

The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a collaborative/problem solving team environment. They must be able to interact directly with Scarsin’s customers to collect and analyze their data requirements.  The role requires strong proficiency in dashboarding tools such as Microstrategy, Tableau, QlikView, Dundas, and/or XLCubed for scorecard creation, dashboard practices and Business Intelligence (BI) concepts

Duties and Responsibilities

• Works with customers/ project managers to understand data requirements;
• Uses BI and scorecard concepts, strong Excel capabilities and OLAP experience to translate business requirements into i2e Scorecard solutions;
• Works directly with the Commercial Leads to develop and maintain scorecard solutions using Scarsin's proprietary i2e system;
• Collects data, analyzes trends, draws conclusions and makes recommendations;
• Performs data validation and analysis;
• Performs client ad-hoc support;
• Performs data validation;
• Interacts directly with clients when required to analyze requests;
• Builds tables, graphs, and presentations using Scarsin proprietary tools;
• Edits exported files where necessary;
• Updates system with data from a variety of sources;
• Performs various other duties as delegated or assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

The successful incumbent will have:

• At least 2 years working experience with dashboarding tools such as Tableau, QlikView, Dundas, Microstrategy
• In addition, candidates must have at least 1 year of working experience with one or more of the following:
  • Data Analysis Expression (DAX)
  • Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
  • Multi-dimensional expression (MDX)  
  • Structured Query Language (SQL)
• Demonstrated strong scorecard/dashboard and BI process skills and the concepts used to develop these tools;
• Proven strong skills in MS Excel using advanced macros, pivot tables and v-lookups, etc.;
• Proven detailed investigative and problem solving skills;
• Proven ability to understand business problems and deliver appropriate solutions with a rapid turn around
• Demonstrated ability to learn new software applications quickly;
• Demonstrated time management, problem solving and decision making competencies;
• Demonstrated ability to learn new software quickly, solve problems, and apply critical thinking;
• Proven, motivated self-starter with the ability to lead by example and approach and solve business problems;
• Proven effective presentation, analytical and customer relationship abilities;
• Preference will be given to:
  • at least 1 year of experience within the pharmaceutical industry;
• Ability to comprehend, analyze and research problems of a complex nature, make decisions and/or present recommendations;
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment;
• Ability to work autonomously and in teams to effectively prioritize multiple projects and associated deliverables;
• A natural demonstrated quality of curiosity;
• Demonstrated high proficiency in verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
