Key Role

The Forecast Analyst is responsible for the calibration of developed forecast models; QC of models, i2e forecast training and ongoing support for key clients working in the i2e platform. The Analyst should have advanced knowledge of forecasting concepts within the pharmaceutical domain.

The successful candidate will enjoy solving problems and is excited about numbers and logic. This position requires working closely with Forecast team members, Projects Managers, Model Developers and will directly interface with Scarsin's clients. Some travel will be required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports all Forecasting related activities;
  • Learns and implements various forecasting techniques in the pharma domain such as patient-based or Epi-based forecasts and historical trending based forecasts;
  • Learns the i2e platform for Forecasting and improving Forecasting Processes;
  • Participates in client briefings to understand the requirements;
  • Understands client's forecast models and prepares Model Flow diagrams accordingly;
  • Responsible for calibration of forecasts based on client inputs/offline files;
  • Conducts QC (Quality Control) of forecast models in a timely manner and makes them forecast ready for client's use;
  • Interacts with cross-functional teams such as Data Integration, Model Development and Data Visualization teams in order to complete tasks/projects;
  • Learns i2e reporting for running & preparing reports, and DI tools for data deep dives;
  • Prepares training materials for training clients for introduction to the i2e platform;
  • Participates in team meetings for aligning with team's daily and weekly goals;
  • Performs all tasks assigned by Manager, Forecasting/Team Lead.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

The successful incumbent will have:

  • University Degree in a Business or Science program
  • Must have at least 2 years working experience within forecasting/analytical roles, with preference given to those having worked in the pharmaceutical industry;
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel, including pivot tables, v-lookups and macros as well as with MS PowerPoint;
  • Strong and proven analytic and mathematic problem solving skills with exceptional attention to detail;
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams;
  • Agility to learn new software applications and technologies;
  • Demonstrated time management, problem solving and decision making competencies;
  • Proven effective presentation, analytical and customer relationship abilities;
  • Proven ability to comprehend, analyze and research problems of a complex nature, make decisions and/or present recommendations;
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to work autonomously and in teams to effectively prioritize multiple projects and associated deliverables;
  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable interacting with customers backed by solid spoken and written English;
  • Developed communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment;
