Scarsin Leverages R Server to Bolster Forecast Process Improvement with i2e Release 9
Scarsin is proud to announce the launch of Release 9 of i2e. Release 9 leverages R (open source best practice statistics language) as a foundational capability. As with other processes in i2e, R has been integrated so that business users can leverage advanced capabilities without advanced statistical skills. Release 9 delivers R support at multiple points in Forecasting process workflows, providing Forecasters with a powerful new tool kit to not only improve the efficiency of their forecasts but to improve overall decision making and business results for the organization.

TORONTO - January 23, 2018 - Scarsin Corporation, a software development company specializing in Forecast Process Improvement (FPI) and providing forecasting best-practice frameworks to global organizations, is pleased to announce Release 9 of its enterprise-class platform “i2e” (Integrated Insight Environment). One of the driving forces behind Scarsin’s success in the forecasting space is the consistent open communication it has with its Global customers. Listening to and adopting ideas for improvements further drives FPI in their organization. Over the last two years, Scarsin has been working on two major innovations that significantly enhance client benefits. These are: incorporation of advanced statistical tools to provide more accurate forecasting at a batch level, and; the support of more real time consensus based forecasting needs.

Global clients have continued to drive i2e deeper into their Forecasting ecosystem. As a result, there is a need to support different Forecasting process flows - some that gate through hierarchical approval processes and others that require more real-time collaboration. Release 9 provides major innovation in terms of how consensus-based collaborative forecasting can be delivered. While most of these needs are met by programmed off-the-shelf solutions, i2e allows clients to flexibly design these processes leveraging Excel inside i2e. This delivers a whole new level of flexibility to mission-critical processes.

“We are extremely proud of Release 9 as our most client driven major release in the history of i2e. Technologically enabling new competencies for Global Forecasting teams, drives our passion for FPI,” says Paul Minshull, CEO and Founder of Scarsin. “Our Global Partner network is key to our Release 9 rollout as they collaboratively provide the best practice frameworks to maximize the ROI of these new capabilities.”

Clients continue to leverage i2e for new Forecasting processes but there are clear impacts from Release 9 for Operational Planning, New Product Planning, Long Range Planning, Demand Planning, Trend Variance and Insight Reporting.

Scarsin’s R&D continues to move forward with its technology roadmap to deliver even more innovation in future releases. To learn more about FPI and where your company is in terms of its forecasting processes, please visit http://www.scarsin.com.
