The Forecast Analyst has responsibility for the Quality Control (QC) analysis of developed forecast models, model calibrations, maintenance of forecasts and i2e/forecast training for key clients.

Key Role

The Forecast Analyst is responsible for the calibration of developed forecast models; QC of models, i2e forecast training and ongoing support for key clients working in the i2e platform. The Analyst should have advanced knowledge of forecasting concepts within the pharmaceutical domain.

The successful candidate will enjoy solving problems and is excited about numbers and logic. This position requires working closely with Forecast team members, Projects Managers, Forecast Developers, client interface and travel to client site. In addition, candidates should have:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creates customized patient-based and prescription-based forecasting methodologies across a multitude of therapeutic areas;
  • Develops user-friendly Excel dashboards to communicate key performance indicators, scenario outcomes, and risk potential to brand managers, portfolio managers, business development leaders, and manufacturing controllers;
  • Collects patient level data from databases and market reports to inform the top line in patient-based forecasts.
  • Reconciles forecast assumptions and outputs with Forecast Analyst and Modeller reports and secondary data sources;
  • Supports business development forecasting exercises to assess potential revenue opportunities and cost implications;
  • Performs various other duties as delegated or assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

The successful incumbent will have:

  • University Degree in a Business or Science program
  • Must have at least 2 years working experience within forecasting/analytical roles, with preference given to those having worked in the pharmaceutical industry;
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel, including pivot tables, v-lookups and macros as well as with MS PowerPoint;
  • Strong and proven analytic and mathematic problem solving skills with exceptional attention to detail;
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams;
  • Agility to learn new software applications and technologies;
  • Demonstrated time management, problem solving and decision making competencies;
  • Proven effective presentation, analytical and customer relationship abilities;
  • Proven ability to comprehend, analyze and research problems of a complex nature, make decisions and/or present recommendations;
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to work autonomously and in teams to effectively prioritize multiple projects and associated deliverables;
  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable interacting with customers backed by solid spoken and written English;
  • Developed communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment;
  • Preference for fast paced, rapid start-up culture demonstrating the values of results, teamwork, energy, agility, respect, and can-do environment.
